Editor. Engineer.

My role at Android Authority encompasses everything from in-depth analysis and hands-on reviews to the internal systems that power our testing workflow. It started with flinging ROMs at a Sony Xperia X10, now that same curiosity drives everything from deep-dive articles on mobile processors to the custom tools I build to make our editorial and testing processes run smoother.

Since starting in 2013, I've attended the major conferences (IFA, MWC, Snapdragon Tech Summit), interviewed industry experts, and developed deep knowledge of the industry's technical subjects - from chipsets and AI to camera and 5G hardware.

Editorial News Dashboard

Diagram showing source ingestion flow for the social news aggregator

A real-time monitoring system tracking industry conversation across RSS feeds, social platforms (X, Reddit), and GitHub for app updates. Alerts pump directly into Slack so the team sees breaking news without opening another app. Built to stop wasting time on manual monitoring so writers can focus on quality research.

Device Testing Framework

Diagram showing tech and use cases for modern smartphones

Modern smartphones are powerful computers running everything from messaging to AI models. Testing these capabilities meaningfully - especially real-world performance, battery, and charging - is genuinely difficult. I've developed and continuously refine methodology so reviewers can run consistent, reproducible tests with minimal training.

Making Test Data Accessible

All that testing data sitting in spreadsheets isn't useful to a distributed team. This system compiles device data into benchmark scores, temperature readings, and extrapolated battery life. A secured web interface lets writers and reviewers compare devices and generate properly formatted graphs with watermarks - no database queries required.
